Voith Turbo Private Limited is a member of the worldwide Voith Group of Companies with headquarters in Germany, a 100% subsidiary of Voith Turbo GmbH & Co KG of Crailsheim, Germany. The company settled in Hyderabad in 1987. In 1990 production started. Being a subsidiary of the German Group, the company in India has full access to the know-how and experience of the No.1 manufacturer of hydrodynamic power transmission products. It is consistently pursuing the development of its pioneering DIWA transmissions. Today, nearly all midi, city and long-distance buses can be fitted with Voith automatics – a technology for the entire range of modern combustion engines. What has remained is the unique principle of the DIWA transmission: the differential converter. This principle allows stepless driving in the DIWA range even over longer periods – comparable converter transmission need up to 50% more gear-shifts.
