Hyperlox is perfectly suited for processing difficult-to-machine materials, hard materials, stainless steel, cast iron, titanium and for gear cutting.
- Coating material – 2nd generation AlTiN supernitride, coating structure – nanocomposite, colour – black anthracite, and microhardness [HV0.05] – 3700.
- Applications: material – steel, HRC 60; tool – SC end mill, Ø 12 mm, z = 2; operation – milling; cooling – dry; parameter – vc = 180 m/min; fz = 0.03 mm/tooth.
- Results: performance criteria: wear; tool life: 32 per cent increase with Hyperlox.
