CNC Waterjet Cut Components

A V Engineers offers Waterjet Cutting has acquired expertise in Waterjet Cutting and offers a range of CNC Waterjet Cut Components. The waterjet cutting process is recognised as the most advanced, versatile and the fastest growing process to cut materials like glass, foam, rubber, gasket, aluminium, stainless steel, titanium, ceramics, carbide, composites, mild steel, brass and many more. No heat effected zone or mechanical stresses are left on a waterjet cut surface since it is a cold cutting process. Besides being versatile, waterjet cutting also helps keeping the environment clean as no noxious gases or liquids are used in waterjet cutting and the process does not create hazardous materials or vapours. Theory of waterjet cutting: waterjet machine uses cold supersonic abrasive erosion to cut almost any materials both metals and non-metals. The highly pressurised water stream is forced through a tiny arc, which carries abrasive garnet to erode away the material.
Advantages of waterjet technology

  • Cold cutting without thermal influences
  • Flexible processing of virtually all materials with consistent high quality
  • Material-saving production due to reduced cutting width and the nesting of several parts on a single sheet
  • Maximum degree of material utilization due to the smallest of part separation distances (partially free of burrs) and part-in-part production
  • Tension-free processed parts due to minimal cutting force and environment friendly and clean production without poisonous gases
  • Good access to the work area of the waterjet system
  • Optimisation of the cutting parameters to meet individual requirements
  • Possible to identify the cut parts using waterjet engraving
  • Close linking with the CAD/CAM individual requirements
  • High material savings due to narrow bridges or ribs
  • No tool manufacturing and tool storage costs high productivity through multihead cutting system and multiplayer cutting
  • High-performance drive system, which permits high-precision production of parts as well as the highest or processing speeds
