Riken Instrumentation Ltd is a pioneer in the field of testing and measuring instruments. Riken clip on power factor meter is designed for remarkable reproducibility and precision. It is suitable for measuring power factor without interruption or shut down of service equipment. The meter consists of a measuring Instrument and a split core current transformer coupled with phase angle sensing transducer. It can measure power factor over a wide current range (in Model 2020 7 to 500 A, Model 2021 150 to 1000 A). It is usable in single-phase 230 V or 3-phase 415/440 V system. The instrument is clipped over the line (current carrying conductor) for sensing current and the potential is connected between line and neutral. Its compact lightweight, rugged and portable design permits easy single hand operation. Its transformer jaws accept conductors up to 50 mm dia. All the voltage and test lead plugs are deeply recessed which makes it more safe against any misuse. It can withstand a voltage up to 2000 V AC for one minute.
