It offers a wide variety of materials with precise characteristics like high or low temperature, flexibility, flame retardancy, low smoke, zero halogen, high abrasion resistance, resistance to oil and other low deleterious substances, etc. Some of the materials used include PVC, HR and FRLS PVC, polythene, nylon, polypropylene, polyurethane, teflon, tefzel, thermoplastic elastomer, silicone, nitrile, EPDM, hypalon and other elastomers. The conductors are made of aluminium, copper, tinned copper, silver or nickel plated copper and special conductor combinations for thermocouple cables. Screened cables are available with copper braiding, copper or aluminium mylar taping along with drain wire. The cables are available from single equipment wires to complex multicore, multipair, triad, quads and composite types. Armoured cables are supplied with galvanised steel wire/strip armour, double steel tape armour, etc. All materials are rigorously tested as per prescribed IS and international standards.
