Mumbai-based Precision Engineering Corporation has developed a butt welder to weld band saw blades ranging from 3 to 25 mm and l0 to 35 mm. This type of welder is available with power capacity of 3 and 5 kVA. These machines are compact, rigid and easy to operate and supplied with cutting and grinding arrangements at customers request. Cut blades are held between jaws at weld position and the weld lever is brought to weld position and pressed. Welding is done automatically and current is switched off once the welding is over.
