Bevel Gears

Bevel Gears

Bevel Gears are conical shaped, tooth-bearing gears that face each other. These gears are usually mounted on shafts that are 90 degrees apart, although they can work at certain angles as well. The teeth found on bevel gears can be spiral, straight, or hypoid. Bevel gears with straight teeth can work very similarly to the spur gear. When one of the teeth engages, the rest of them are impacted at the same time. This is why most bevel gears manufacturers create theirs to have slating or curved gear teeth. This way, the teeth will engage at the gear’s one end and then spread the drive across the rest of the tooth. The company also make Girth Gears, Ground Gears, Helical Gears, and Internal Gears.
