Automatic Float cum Boost Battery Chargers are widely being used for epabx, rax, max & other electronic telephone exchanges. Battery Chargers comes in variety of models of 48 volts (nominal) and current ranging from 3 to 200 amps output, ensuring the customer freedom to select from the simplest to the most sophisticated, taking care of wide variation in mains input supply. Battery chargers changeovers from mains to battery & vice-versa as well as from float to boost & vice-versa are automatic without any interruption of dc supply to load. Chargers are protected against overload/short-circuit and under/over voltage at charger output. Other custom-built battery chargers of 12,24,36,72,110 & 220 volts (nominal) outputs in 3, 6, 10, 12, 16, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, 100, 150, & 200 amps upto maximum of 12 kw total output power are also available. These are suitable for charging lead acid as well as smf batteries, since these are characterised by controlled charging. These batteries comes with strong customer support.
The charger has two modes. Float and boost. In float mode, the Float cum Boost Battery Charger supplies the DC load and the trickle charging current of the battery. Boost mode is meant for charging the battery. It is a SCR controlled charger. It has constant voltage/constant current control. These types of charger are automatically turned to float or boost with respective battery condition. Automatic charging of Battery is possible in the float mode. In this mode,when the current drawn by the battery exceeds the set value, the charger will automatically charge mode to charge the battery. once the battery current fails the charger returns to float mode. During mains fail, charger remains OFF and load supplied by the battery.
