New Allenberry Works offers an Air Pre-Heater Gearbox (APC). APC gearboxes are manufactured with two input shafts (one electric motor and one air/DC motor) and three input shafts (two electric motors and one air/DC motor) using a bevel gear and pinion set and helical gears. These are only used by the power sector. Range – up to 500 MW power plants; and types – two input and three input. The company continues to be the leading manufacturer of industrial gears, delivering products with long-lasting performance and world class quality. The journey began in 1957 and the first worm gearbox was designed and manufactured in 1959. Having achieved this milestone, it entered into a license agreement with John Holroyd of UK in 1962 in order to raise the bars of technological excellence. The collaboration enabled a significant leverage through the acquisition of technical know-how and special purpose machine tools from Holroyd.
