This cable type is used extensively in the computer & communications industries. There are a wide variety of multipair cable constructions available including unshielded, overall shielded, individually shielded pairs, or even individually shielded pairs with an overall shield. When considering a multipair cable, it is important to consider the possibility of crosstalk.
