KBM Industries offers precision engineered pelletizers for resin producers throughout the plastics industry. These have been found suitable for round-the-clock production in some of the largest, most demanding plastics manufacturing and compounding plants. These are designed, engineered and manufactured to give long service and precision cutting, and need low maintenance. The multiple, helix-angled cutting edges on milling-type rotor allow running speeds of 500 RPM, or slower, without a loss of production capacity. The cleaner cut made by these helix-angled edges produces in excess of &189;% "overs"and less torque and less noise during running. The slower speed and noise isolation design keep pelletizing noise below 85 dBA on most materials without soundshielding. Additional noise reduction is obtained through the use of helix-angled cutting edges because the angle reduces impact, thereby cutting horsepower and minimising structure borne noise.
