Dow Corning has introduced Silastic HCM 60-1225 – grey silicon rubber for automotive applications. It is a high consistency silicone rubber for high fatigue applications. A Hardness 60 Shore A, peroxide cure high consistency rubber with high fatigue resistance, Silastic HCM 60-1225 grey silicon rubber is designed to provide excellent extensional and flexural fatigue life when moulded into suitable components. Offering advantages like high fatigue resistance, high tear strength, excellent mould release, no need for post cure, and low compression set, Silastic HCM 60-1225 grey silicon rubber is aimed at automotive component applications like CVJ boots, exhaust hangers, and engine mounts.
