Shivam Electronics represents several global manufacturers. What are the products that you offer?

We offer a wide range of products catering to various industrial sectors. We are pioneers in importing products for the automation sector since 1995. Our product line includes PID controllers, digital temperature controllers/indicators, digital panel meters, digital timers/counters, inductive/capacitive proximity sensor, analog sensors, photo electric sensors, humidity sensors/controllers, digital calibrators, light curtains, switch mode power supply, converters (USB to RS232/422/485/TTL), thyristor controls, solid state relays, recorders, non-contact temperature indicators/sensors, AC drives, MI-thermocouples, compensating cables, etc., all from reputed manufacturers like: TAIE, Fotek, Raytek, Fluke, Qwinwell, Optex, Meanwell, Karlo, Samyoung, etc.

What are the synergies between the different product lines?

These are all products catering to the automation requirements and most of these are complementary in nature, rather than competing within the range we offer. So it is a one-stop-solution for most requirements of industrial automation.

What is the USP of the products represented by Shivam Electronics? This space is crowded with many manufacturers chasing customers?

Premium quality, competitive price, and timely delivery schedule is the answer to this question. We sell only better quality products. All products are of the latest model or upgrades, with very competitive prices on the market. We gain very low margins and provide better quality of all our products, and that is the reason we have retained our customer base over the last 10-15 years.

How is the company doing in India vis-?-vis the competition?

When we select a new product for sale in India, we keep in mind that the price range of our products should be low, so that our small industrial buyers can purchase good products from reputed manufacturers. That also mreans we stay ahead of the competition.

How strong/effective is the sales network and after sales service in India?

Yes, we do firmly believe that satisfied customers make a successful organisation. We have a strong dealer network all over India, so we provide after sales service and service support within 24 hours anywhere in India.

What are the company's achievements?

We are an importer in the Indian industrial automation segment and aspire to be among the top players in this segment, who provides better products and services to customers and wants to see a smile on their faces.

Any breakthrough product launch that made a difference?

We introduced the low cost PID controller in FU400 series manufactured by TAIE. We are offering a 3-year warranty for this controller. It is available at a very low rate, quite competitive when compared with other manufactures. It is available only in 48 x 48 mm size with all inputs and has in one control up to 3 alarm outputs. RS-485 communication and time temperature profile controller is also available at a very low rate.

How is the present business environment?

Currently it is good time and we can expect it to continue in upward direction as the infrastructure sector is booming in India. Both India and Taiwan are great potential markets because of their respective rapid and aggressive urbanisation. The industrial automation sector has a very promising future in these two nations.

What are the future plans?

Our future plan is to introduce new technology based power modules, which is manufactured by Fotek (Taiwan). It is available in single phase and 3-phase rating in 35A to 200A range.
