France’s Thales Group has partnered with Adani Defence and Aerospace to manufacture 70 mm rockets in India. This collaboration aims to strengthen India’s defence capabilities by producing locally manufactured rockets for the Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) ‘Rudra’ and the Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) ‘Prachand’. The initiative aligns with India’s broader goal of enhancing its defence manufacturing sector and creating employment opportunities.

The partnership between Thales Group and Adani Defence and Aerospace is a significant step under the Indian government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, which focuses on increasing self-reliance in defence production and reducing dependency on foreign imports.
