Repair – Rebuild – Replace

Setco provides an accurate diagnosis and a cost benefit analysis of all options, which might be appropriate in each case on which one can make an informed decision. This provides all the data about the particular product, based on which the customer can make an informed decision. Many a times, replacing is the ultimate choice for time concerns, which might not always be true, as Setco can repair or rebuild spindles in relatively lesser time and obviously lesser price.

The company undertakes reconditioning of the following types of spindles: machine centre spindles, grinding spindles, PCB spindles and spindles for wood work and allied applications. Setco India also manufactures custom built spindles though the focus lies on reconditioning of spindles. In India, the company repairs about 100 spindles per month.

Rebuilding may not be advised in all cases, and although it has the expertise in rebuilding, the company may not recommend it every time depending on the case. Experienced technicians provide prompt repair for any size machine tool spindle or other high precision rotating devices that incorporate ball, roller, taper bore and various other types of bearings. The company has full in-house machining operation and one-source capability to repair or totally remanufacture a spindle.

Setco repairs high speed and precision spindles such as grinding spindles, boring spindles, milling spindles, machine tool spindles as well as wood router spindles. The company attends to every detail with an obsession for cleanliness, dimensional accuracy and geometric perfection. Advanced inspection procedure and experience allows it to determine the root causes of failure. With tolerances measured in microns, bearing and spindles will perform as expected only when every detail is attended with hypercritical attention. Precision bearings rely on extremely small tolerance. That is why spindle rebuilders need specialised knowledge, experience and equipment, which Setco India certainly has.

Spindles are manufactured and reconditioned with utmost care and precision and are tested for all the parameters before being delivered and are all supplied with test certificates. Dedicated temperature controlled spindle room, state-of-the-art grinding machine, all necessary machining facility, ultrasonic cleaning machine are all part of the infrastructure, which is the backbone of the Setco service delivery module.
