Royal Enfield, the global leader in the mid-size (250cc–750cc) motorcycle segment, is set to acquire a land parcel for a new greenfield manufacturing facility in Tada (Tirupati), Andhra Pradesh. The company plans to invest approximately Rs 25 billion in the expansion, which will be implemented in a phased manner, subject to board approval and future market conditions.

Currently, Royal Enfield operates four world-class manufacturing facilities in Tamil Nadu, with an annual capacity of around 1.46 million motorcycles, close to full utilisation. In February 2026, the company announced Rs 9.58 billion investment to expand capacity in Cheyyar, Tamil Nadu, which will raise total capacity to 2 million units.

B Govindarajan, Managing Director of Eicher Motors Ltd and CEO of Royal Enfield, said, “Royal Enfield's philosophy has always been to stay connected with our community to deliver the best possible products and experiences. This investment in Andhra Pradesh will augment our capacity and support the next phase of growth. We are grateful to the Government of Andhra Pradesh for their support. With over 100 retail and service outlets and more than 1,200 direct and indirect employment opportunities, we are proud to contribute to the state’s industrial and economic landscape.”

Royal Enfield routinely evaluates options for future projects. It has seven CKD facilities across Bangladesh, Nepal, Brazil (2), Thailand, Argentina, and Colombia, and operates through more than 3,200 stores in India and over 80 countries. The company maintains technical centres in Bruntingthorpe, UK, and Chennai, India.

In FY 2026, Royal Enfield delivered over 1.2 million motorcycles, marking the second consecutive year exceeding one million units. The company ranked highest in two-wheeler initial quality in the 2025 J.D. Power India survey and secured the top position in the FADA Dealer Satisfaction Survey. Strengthening its global brand stature, Royal Enfield ranked 3 among the World's Strongest Automobile Brands in the Brand Finance Automotive Industry 2026 report.
