HARTING wins

HARTING Applied Technologies has done it again: the subsidiary won the “Excellence in Production” competition for the second time in the “Internal Tool Manufacture up to 50 Employees” category. The company already won this category back in 2014. Managing Director Dr Volker Franke, Tool Manufacture Manager Rainer Hussmann and their team were delighted with the award.

HARTING Applied Technologies is a recognised specialist in the field of tool manufacture. Part of the HARTING Technology Group, the company develops, constructs and manufactures high-precision injections moulds, injection moulding tools and punching/bending tools for the electrical and automobile industries. Applications for HARTING Applied Technologies products range from large housing components for plastic and aluminium connectors to micro-injection moulding components with ultra-high surface quality requirements.

“The award is a credit to our employees, who produce premium quality products. I am delighted that we have won this prestigious competition”, said Dr Volker Franke, Managing Director of HARTING Applied Technologies. The judges were particularly impressed by HARTING’s structured approach to strategy development, setting goals in consultation with employees. The company allows individual groups to manage improvement internally when processing production orders, using specific continuous improvement methods. Another major plus is the use of extremely high quality machines and facilities in all areas of production.
