Balmerol lubricants are manufactured by Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd. Founded in 1867, Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd is a Mini Ratna I Enterprise of Government of India, under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. The company has a rich heritage of over 147 years. Balmer Lawrie established pioneering grease manufacturing plants at Sewree (in Mumbai) in 1934 and at Kolkata in 1937. The company pioneered grease manufacturing in India.
