ACREX INDIA 2016: 26th year of Showcasing Excellence in HVAC&R

‘Make in India’ offers infinite Opportunities for HVAC&R and the Building Services Industry.

ACREX India, South Asia’s largest exhibition on Air Conditioning, Ventilation, Refrigerating and Building services, is returning to Mumbai. ACREX 2016 is scheduled to take place at Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) in Mumbai from 25th-27th Feb 2016.

The theme for ACREX India 2016 is “Make in India – Infinite Opportunities for HVAC&R and the Building Services Industry”. The show is envisioned around promoting the infinite potential the HVAC&R sector has to offer and the tangible benefits various sectors can avail of through a robust Public-Private partnership. ISHRAE, the organisers of ACREX 2016 expect a footfall of over 30,000 trade visitors and around 500 exhibitors set to exhibit their products and services on a display area of more than 30,000 square metres. With the participation of major global players and increased participation from specific countries, ACREX 2016 will have special designated areas called “country pavilions” for China, Germany, USA, Korea, and first-time participant Turkey. ACREX India is thus set to offer a holistic view on worldwide trends in residential and commercial spaces, building design and related product innovations primarily developed around energy conservation and sustainability.

Speaking to the media, National President, ISHRAE Mr K Ramachandran said, “With the government's focus on Make in India and Smart City development, the real estate industry has potential for tremendous growth and innovation. Energy conservation targeted towards sustainability will hold environmental and commercial benefits, which are primarily long term in nature. The increasing purchasing power of the middle income group has created a surge for household electrical appliance. India’s home automation market is growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 30 per cent, closely followed by the market for refrigeration and cold chain with a CAGR of 25 per cent. Special designated pavilions at ACREX 2016 endeavour to highlight the importance of these sectors and provide a comprehensive overview of the said sectors.”

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Pankaj Dharkar, Chairman of ACREX India 2016 said, “The 26th edition of ACREX India 2016 is set to promote the need for government and industries to come together to develop a robust system for development and innovation in the HVAC&R industry which will define a roadmap for energy conversation and sustainability. The abundant human resources and the domestic manufacturing potential needs to harnessed and showcased to the world. ACREX 2016 is set to showcase the opportunities in the Indian HVAC&R industry which are boundless.”

ACREX 2016 will also present a series of educative sessions which will be held during the three day event at the venue. These knowledge sessions will provide an opportunity to gain the much needed market insights from professionals in the industry and act as a platform to interact and share thoughts between the industry experts and attendees. The Workshops and Seminar were conducted by Eminent and Internationally acclaimed experts from the industry and provided a rare opportunity to the participants to learn, share expertise and hone their skills on the latest trends and topics related to HVAC&R industry.

ISHRAE, the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers, is an international associate of ASHRAE and established in 1981, in Delhi to promote Heating, Ventilation, Air-conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC&R) industry in India. Today, ISHRAE has more than 10,500 members, spread all over India and also in Middle East, through its 39 chapters and sub chapters. ISHRAE also have 111 student chapters and student’s membership of more than 3500. ISHRAE organises lectures, seminars, expositions like ACREX India, training workshops, publishes technical handbooks, journals, directories, etc.
