In a country like India with a population of 130 crore, a sustainable future lies in changing behaviour to reduce the amount of waste produced and working towards a circular economy, where discarded items are increasingly reused and recycled. We are delighted to announce the inauguration of South India`s first waste-to-energy plant which can generate 19.8 MW electricity. The plant is developed in partnership with TSSPDCL, TSPCB, and GHMC, Mr Reddy advised every resident of Hyderabad to perform their duty before questioning the Government and in relation to Waste Management he said that duty was not to litter and to segregate the wastes into Wet and Dry wastes before handing over to the Swachh Autos.”

Malla Reddy said, “I am Extremely happy this plant is established in Jawahar Nagar, and I want to thank the government of Telangana and our partner Ramky Enviro Engineers Limited for making this possible. As we commence the operations of this waste to energy plant, I am confident that this will reduce the burden of landfill from the Jawahar Nagar site and put end to the troubles faced by them over the years.”
