Nashik (Maharashtra)

Jitendra New EV Tech Pvt Ltd (JNEVTPL), operating under the brand Jitendra Electric Vehicles, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MET’s Institute of Engineering (IOE), Bhujbal Knowledge City, Adgaon, Nashik. The partnership with the Department of Mechanical Engineering aims to strengthen academic–industry collaboration in the fast-evolving electric mobility sector.

The MoU was signed on 5 August 2025 at MET’s IOE by Dr V P Wani, Principal, in the presence of Dr S D Kalpande, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Prof (Dr) Sachin Dahake, and other departmental heads. Representing JNEVTPL, Tejas Merchant from the Research & Development (R&D) department signed the agreement, accompanied by Satish Kulkarni and Ganesh Jadhav.

This alliance aims to bridge academic knowledge with practical industry applications in the EV domain. It will focus on joint research, product development, industrial consultancy, and technical problem-solving. Key elements include expert consultancy by IOE to address in-house and field issues, technical support for EV product development covering scooters, rickshaws, bikes, and other mobility solutions, and industrial exposure for students through visits, internships, and live projects.

Dr V P Wani said the partnership would empower students to work with advanced technologies, improve practical skills, and contribute to the future of electric mobility. Tejas Merchant noted that the collaboration seeks to nurture engineers capable of real-time innovation, building a strong base for research, product creation, and talent development.
