What is the total range of hydraulic products on offer?

Static Hydraulic has the expertise and exclusive experience in the field of design, application engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, modification, commissioning and other allied jobs pertaining to oil hydraulic systems. These include a wide range of equipment such as: hydraulic power packs; hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders; hydraulic presses (up to 300 tonnes); hydraulic scissor lifts; hydraulic truck tipplers; hydraulic shearing machines; hydraulic shock absorber testing machines; hydraulic screw jacks; automated car parking systems; compression testing machines; bogie static load testing machines; helical coil spring testing machines; rail straightening presses; synchronised hydraulic coach lifters; portable filtering units; and hydraulic components and accessories.

 

Apart from the above products, we also provide hydraulic training and certification to clients.

What is the USP of these products? Why should the customer opt for these when there are choices by the dozen?

Static Hydraulic manufactures tailor made products as per customers’ requirements. These are either critical applications or having critical operational requirement. Our USP is the range of systems we have supplied for critical applications throughout the industry sector. We can design a simple hydraulic cylinder or the most complex hydraulic power pack for helicopter landing device or propulsion system of ships. We are a quality conscious company where utmost importance is given to manufacture industrial hydraulic products complying with current industry demands. 

 

The company has a team of system designers with years of experience, highly skilled production team, inspection and testing professionals who possess complete knowledge of this field. We are equipped with every resource necessary to meet customer expectation of quality and delivery.

What is the manufacturing infrastructure of the company? And the standards followed?

We have two factories at two different locations in West Bengal – one at Howrah and the other at Behala with a total area of 40,000 sq.ft, and equipped with the most modern facilities and equipment enabling us to manufacture hydraulic equipment/machinery as required by the customer. Static Hydraulic is an ISO 9001: 2008 certified company by Alberk QA Technic GmbH.

 

With a blend of machines/systems and components, how strong/effective is the distribution network?

Static Hydraulic is a fully subsidiary of Uniseven Engineering & Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, an EPC company belonging to the Jiwanram Sheoduttrai Group that has a diverse interests in industrial marketing, manufacturing and turnkey project execution. Being part of such a large group gives us enough courage and advantage to undertake large projects and execute the same within stipulated time.

We have five branch offices spread across India beside offices in China and UAE. We also have distributors located at strategic locations, are quite capable of supporting customers and provide prompt solutions.

 

What is the company’s history?

Founded in the year 1993 in Kolkata, as Static Hydraulic Pvt Ltd, by a group of engineers having exclusive experience in the field of design, application, maintenance, commissioning and other allied jobs pertaining to oil hydraulic systems.

 

With over 60 years of collective experience of working with companies like M/s Vickers Systems International, Rexroth, Yuken India and other reputed hydraulics system manufacturers, we had in depth knowledge of the subject and are able to solve all hydraulic issues. Capitalising on the above experience, we started our venture to manufacture hydraulic systems and other components. 

 

Today we feel proud of ourselves for having the confidence of the customers where we have supplied our systems, which are running satisfactorily for years.

From the very beginning Static Hydraulic had been developing systems for most critical applications. Among these are:

Any breakthrough product launch that made a difference?

As mentioned above, two developments stand out as ‘First to Build’ in India. These application developments have given us huge momentum and established us as a reputed brand. The first is the helicopter handling device for naval vessels. We are the first company in India to have developed this system. Earlier the same was being imported from Western Europe or USA by shipyards. The other is the pull back apparatus for Bofors guns. We are again, the first to develop the system for the Indian Army. All the Bofors guns in India have our systems for testing their recoiling properties.

 

How is present business environment?

The industry is going through a very tough period right now in absence of major projects and lack of big investment. As a result the business is slow. Our products are mainly required in projects rather than for replacement.

 

Like every other MSME, performance of the company is affected due to stagnancy in the industrial sphere and due to increasing overheads. We do hope 2017 will be a better year.

 

What are the future plans?

We did have some expansion plans, which we shall implement once the economic conditions start improving.

 

We are looking forward to put an ultramodern hydraulic cylinder manufacturing facility in Kolkata and also expand our existing facilities to meet the demands of the industry.
