Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has announced that it will provide land for the development of a plastic merchandise processing park in the region. The YEIDA will give 100 acres of land in Sector 10 for the project, following a demand by the All India Plastic Industry Association (AIPIA).

Officials mentioned that the land purchase process is currently underway and is expected to be done by December 2021. The detailed project report (DPR) is yet to get clearance from the Yamuna Expressway Authority.

Products like packaging material, PVC pipes, farms, agricultural and medical equipment will be manufactured in 150-200 units that would be set up.

Arun Vir Singh, CEO, YEIDA, said that the project will have investments worth Rs 75 billion and is likely to generate employment opportunities for 15,000 people. He added that the industries are being developed in clusters in the Yamuna Expressway region. He noted that there was a keen interest among entrepreneurs having scattered units around Delhi-NCR to come under one roof.

Yamuna Expressway region has already committed land for entrepreneurs Medical Device Park, Toy City, Film City, Handicraft Park, Leather Merchandise Products Park, Data Centre Park, Electric Vehicle City, MSME Park and Apparel Park.
