WIKA Group recently hosted a seminar in Pune focusing on measurement technology for the Food & Beverage and Pharmaceutical industries. The event addressed sector-specific requirements, process reliability, compliance, and operational consistency across regulated sectors.

Held at WIKA’s Pune facility, the seminar included a tour of selected production areas, where participants explored pressure, diaphragm seal, electrical temperature measurement, level, and force solutions. The visit highlighted WIKA’s local manufacturing capabilities and quality practices.

Following the factory visit, WIKA experts presented the company’s global approach and recent developments. Dr Ing Simone Mack, Vice President, Global Business Unit Food & Pharma, WIKA Group, remarked, “The food and pharmaceutical industries are continuously evolving to meet higher standards of safety, quality, and traceability. Reliable measurement technology is crucial in ensuring hygienic and efficient production processes. This seminar allows industry experts to discuss emerging challenges and demonstrate how advanced instrumentation enhances process reliability, compliance, and product quality.”

The technical sessions covered key product areas, including pressure and temperature measurement, diaphragm seal systems, level and force solutions, and calibration technology. Experts outlined their application in processes such as pasteurisation, sterile filtration, batching, filling, and CIP/SIP operations.

Participants were also introduced to WIKA’s IIoT capabilities, including smart sensors, connectivity options, and tools for condition and status monitoring.

The event concluded with a Q&A session and closing remarks, reinforcing WIKA India’s ongoing commitment to providing measurement and calibration solutions for the F&B and Pharma sectors.
