The upcoming project, valued at Rs 479.5 crore, is slated for execution over the next three fiscal years.

This venture aims to manufacture a range of products including CPVC, UPVC, SWR, agri-pipes, PVC fittings, and plastic tanks. With an annual production capacity of 37,520 metric tons, the factory is expected to create employment opportunities for 1,000 individuals, as indicated in a Wednesday exchange filing.

Welspun Group Chairperson BK Goenka expressed, "Sintex is renowned for its water tanks, and we are continually exploring avenues for growth in both existing and new locations. While our primary focus in WST is revitalising retailers, distributors, plumbers, and customers, our entry into the PVC pipe segment will further solidify our presence in the building material sector."

The project received approval from the state-level, single-window clearance authority at its 124th meeting.
