TVS Motor launches NEO AMI 125 Scooter in Africa, expands global reach

TVS Motor Company, a prominent player in the automotive industry, has introduced its TVS NEO AMI 125 scooter in Africa. The scooter will be available for purchase in countries such as Guinea, Mali, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Togo, Ghana, Senegal, Benin, Nigeria, DR Congo, PR Congo, Chad, Central Africa Republic, and Niger through the company's established dealership network. Boasting a 124.8cc single-cylinder engine with a 4-stroke, 3-valve, air-cooled SOHC (Single Overhead Camshaft), and fuel-injected unit, the scooter delivers 9.8 bhp at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 10.8 Nm at 5,500 rpm. It will be offered in three appealing colours: Violet blue, ruby red, and heritage black.

With a business footprint spanning over 80 countries across Asia, Africa, and Latin America, the company recently expanded into the European market. In the first half of the financial year 2022-23 (FY23), 25% of the company's business comprised exports.

Commenting on the launch, Rahul Nayak, Vice-President of International Business at TVS Motor Company, expressed enthusiasm, stating, "We are very excited to introduce another high-performance product to our existing vehicle range for the African continent. The TVS NEO AMI 125 caters to the unique requirements of African customers, offering vehicles with higher ground clearance, longer seats for a comfortable ride, and feature-rich options to enhance their daily commute. We are eager to launch this product and are committed to providing a hassle-free ride experience, excellent after-sales service, and affordable genuine spare parts."
