TIIC promotes green investments with New ESG Cell for MSMEs

During a recent meeting of the Council of State Industrial Development and Investment Corporations (COSIDIC), hosted by TIIC, the emphasis was placed on integrating sustainability into MSMEs.
The Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation (TIIC) has established an Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) cell with the intention of providing financial support to Micro, Small, and Medium-Scale Enterprises (MSMEs) interested in adopting sustainable and green practices.
During a recent meeting of the Council of State Industrial Development and Investment Corporations (COSIDIC), hosted by TIIC, the emphasis was placed on integrating sustainability into MSMEs. Additionally, TIIC has been engaged in discussions with financial institutions to secure a dedicated line of credit for green projects.
The development of a comprehensive ecosystem is anticipated to inspire entrepreneurs to invest in both traditional and emerging sectors. TIIC plays a crucial role in offering financial assistance for the establishment of new industrial units, as well as the expansion and modernisation of existing units within the state.
