Ace Micromatic unveils six machines at IMTEX 2023

With 32 machines on display (majority of which were completely new technologies), the Ace Micromatic Group’s pavilion was definitely the showstopper at IMTEX 2023. Along with the launch of the 3D metal printer, Ace Micromatic also unveiled the indigenously developed a 5 axes multi-tasking machine, a hybrid additive machining VMC for metal addition and metal subtraction plus the IoT gateway.

“At IMTEX 2023, we are introducing six new products, which included indigenously developed 3D printer (by Amace Solutions), special machine for electronic industry, enhance turning range, new machine that can do both additive manufacturing as well as machining, etc. We have also pallet changers in machining center, which saves time and increases productivity. For the first time, we are using pallet changer on turning machine and we have applied a patent for it,” said T K Ramesh, MD, Micromatic Machine Tools Pvt Ltd - the customer facing company of Ace Micromatic Group.

The group also displayed an electric motor cycle, in which 70% of the components/parts were made using AMACE 3D metal printer. “This e-motor cycle has created a record by travelling 18,000 km on rugged, mountainous terrains. Additive manufacturing also has a huge application in medical implants,” informed Ramesh.

At IMTEX, Ace Micromatic Group displayed new revolutionary products for spiral bevel gear machining, whirling, diamond machining, oil country lathe, crankshaft oil hole, VTL with auto chuck changer, CNC lathe with indigenously developed CNC control system, high speed DTC for electronics industry, and 5 axes VMC, among other.

Since its inception, the group has installed over 72,000 CNC machines and adds around 7000 machines every year to the Indian market. The group has turnover of Rs 2500 crore and employs 6,000 people. Ramesh added, “We are market leaders in India with 35 per cent market share. Our aim is to become India-based multinational company. At present, exports account for 8-9 per cent to our turnover and we intend to take it to 25 per cent by 2030. We have set a new company, Ace Micromatic International, to take care of exports of all companies under Ace Micromatic Group. We have a manufacturing unit in China and office in Germany. We are putting up an office in Mexico, USA and Middle East. In the next 5-6 years, we are looking at globalising our business.”

In the next two decades India will become an integrated manufacturing hub with many things being produced within the country for the global markets. “Automotive is an example to showcase how by developing local supply chain ecosystem companies like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Honda, etc were able to bring down their manufacturing costs and make them globally cost competitive. Ace Micromatic Group with its machines also played its part in making India a powerhouse in automotive manufacturing. Indian small & medium enterprises (SMEs) - with whom we are strongly connected to –will continue to play a big role in India’s next phase of growth. While there may be a minor blip (like slowdown), India will definitely be in the upward trend for the next 20-25 years,” stated Ramesh.

AMF’s zero-point clamping system in limelight at IMTEX
