Texmaco Rail secures Rs 1,405 million wagon order from Indian Railways

Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd, a leading player in India’s railway infrastructure sector, has secured a Rs 1,405.5 million order from the Ministry of Railways for the supply of advanced Flat Multi-Purpose (FMP) wagons. These wagons are designed to enhance India’s freight mobility across sectors like defence, steel, and container logistics. This order reinforces Texmaco’s strategic alignment with the Government of India’s efforts to modernise and streamline the national rail freight ecosystem. With this addition, Texmaco’s total order book now stands at Rs 71.15 billion, marking strong growth and sustained industry confidence.
The newly developed FMP wagons represent a leap in multi-utility rail freight transport. They are designed to carry:
- ISO containers – either one 40-foot or two 20-foot containers
- Trucks using Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) methods
- Military vehicles, supporting secure and rapid deployment
