Tata Group has partnered with global semiconductor firm Analog Devices (ADI) to explore opportunities for semiconductor manufacturing in India. This collaboration, highlighted in a joint statement, aims to strengthen India's electronics manufacturing ecosystem as the government pushes for enhanced domestic and global production capabilities.

Tata Electronics, Tata Motors, and Tejas Networks have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ADI to enhance strategic cooperation and integrate ADI's products into Tata applications, including electric vehicles and network infrastructure.

Recently, Tata Group laid the foundation for a Rs 270 billion semiconductor assembly and test facility in Morigaon, Assam. Additionally, Tata Electronics is establishing India’s first wafer fabrication unit in Dholera, Gujarat, expected to be operational by December 2026.

The partnership will also explore manufacturing ADI products at Tata Electronics' facility in Gujarat and the assembly facility in Assam. Furthermore, they will consider opportunities in electronics hardware components for energy storage and power electronics across both commercial and passenger vehicle sectors.

Vincent Roche, CEO and Chair, ADI stated, "By combining our semiconductor solutions with Tata's vision and capabilities, we can accelerate the development of cutting-edge technologies, shaping the future of global electronics manufacturing."
