Talbros Automotive secures Rs 580 cr new business, including major EV order

Talbros Automotive Components recently secured significant new business totalling approximately Rs 580 crore from both domestic and international clients across its various business divisions, product segments, and joint ventures. These orders, spanning multiple years, are set to be fulfilled over the next five years, commencing in FY2025, and encompass a range of products, including gaskets, heat shields, forgings, chassis, and rubber hoses.

A notable portion of this new business, valued at Rs 270 crore or 46% of the total, is related to electric vehicles (EVs) and comes from a prominent export original equipment manufacturer (OEM). The order includes EDS brackets, transcradle brackets, mid-metal shields, S3 packs, and battery stampings. This specific order will be managed by the Marelli Talbros Chassis Systems joint venture.

Another substantial order, amounting to Rs 120 crore, involves forging products intended for use in transmissions, engines, drivelines, and off-highway applications. Multiple domestic OEMs have also placed orders for heat shield products, totaling Rs 75 crore over the next five years. Additionally, new business for Talbros' gaskets from both domestic and export OEM clients amounts to Rs 40 crore.

In a separate development, there is an order worth Rs 75 crore from a domestic OEM for muffler hangers, damper fronts, and hose canister air suction. This order will be fulfilled through the joint venture, Talbros Marugo Rubber.
