Sterlite Power has reported a significant upswing in its Global Products and Services (GPS) business, securing fresh orders totalling around Rs 2,000 crore during Q2 FY '24. This marks a noteworthy increase of Rs 700 crore in comparison to the preceding quarter.

For the first half of the fiscal year, Sterlite Power has amassed Rs 3,300 crore in orders, encompassing advanced, environmentally-friendly products such as conductors, OPGW, cables, and specialised Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services. These orders hail from both domestic and international markets.

The company has successfully clinched major contracts for key projects, including the 765kV D/c BHADLA III - SIKAR II (Part - 1) for Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd and the supply of OPGW cables for the Part E transmission project in Rajasthan. These initiatives play a crucial role in supporting the evacuation of renewable energy in the western region of India. On the global front, Sterlite Power is expanding its footprint in the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East.

In the Power Cables segment, Sterlite Power will be providing 33kV cables for Phase 2 of the Ahmedabad Metro rail and Phase 1 of the Surat Metro rail projects. Additionally, the company has secured contracts to supply 132kV cables for the Sawai Mansingh Hospital Expansion Project in Jaipur and 33kV cables for energy-intensive data centers in Bengaluru.
