SolarfiX India announced a strategic partnership with Japan-based Kanemasa to establish 10 GW of solar module manufacturing capacity in India by 2030. The project will be developed in phases across multiple states, including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Rajasthan, according to Anket Kapoor, CEO and Co-founder, SolarfiX .

The agreement was signed during the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo 2024, organised by Informa Markets. Under the pact, Kanemasa will serve as the technology partner, providing expertise and advanced solutions for SolarfiX’s ambitious expansion plan.

Kapoor highlighted that the collaboration will include the use of SolarfiX’s proprietary solar tracker system, SolarfiX SRA, which incorporates Japanese technology to optimise energy generation. “The tracker system keeps the solar panels oriented towards the sun, boosting energy output by over 120% compared to conventional fixed systems. It’s compact and easy to install,” Kapoor added.

The three-day REI Expo features more than 800 exhibitors from India and key global renewable energy markets like the Middle East. Industry stakeholders and government officials are participating in discussions to address current challenges and explore solutions for the renewable energy sector.
