SECI unveils leading bidders for 3400 MW electrolyser manufacturing in green hydrogen transition scheme

Following the Envelop-1 bid opening, 21 manufacturers, including major players such as Adani New Industries, John Cockerill Greenko Hydrogen Solutions and Waaree Energies, are actively participating.
On December 15, 2023, the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), the designated agency for executing the mission, released a roster of bidders in electrolyser manufacturing (EM) as part of Tranche-I under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Scheme.
Following the Envelop-1 bid opening, 21 manufacturers, including major players such as Adani New Industries, John Cockerill Greenko Hydrogen Solutions, Reliance Electrolyser Manufacturing, L&T Electrolysers, Jindal India, Avaada Electrolyser, and Waaree Energies, are actively participating. They aim to establish a combined capacity of nearly 3400 megawatts (MW) under two schemes, each targeting the setup of 300 MW.
Since the initiation of the "Green Hydrogen Mission," these manufacturers have been actively engaging in securing technology partnerships, forming joint ventures, or establishing subsidiaries to prepare for electrolyser manufacturing in India.
