RRB Energy Limited, a leading player in the wind energy sector in India, is set to expand its wings across South America. A high level delegation headed by the President of the Senate of Chile Mr Guido Girardi, visited the manufacturing facility of RRBEL recently to explore the possibility of Business association with them.
Commenting on the expansion plans of RRBEL's services in Chile, the Chairman and Managing Director, Mr.Rakesh Bakshi, said, "RRBEL's clientele is spread across a broad spectrum of manufacturing and service Industries. Through our expansion plan, we are looking at delivering a diversified range of WEGs. We have already launched a 1.8MW capacity WEG and are presently evaluating the possibility of development of further higher capacity WEGs. With the demand for Wind energy going up in the recent years, we hope to spread our reach across South America as well. It will help us to strengthen our global presence."
This year RRBEL will turn 25. With a track record of being a strong player in the Indian wind energy sector, RRBEL would be able to achieve an overall production capacity of 800 MW during the financial year 2012-13. The company expects 20 per cent of its turnover to come from exports in the financial year 2012-13. This financial year RRBEL is eyeing a turnover of around Rs.4000 crore. 2nd phase expansion is likely to be completed by the end of the current financial year. This would enable the Company to achieve an overall production capacity of 800 MW during the financial year 2012-13.
