Mumbai/Delhi, 1st July 2014 - IED Communications Limited, in its continual endeavour of promoting Indian Automation Industries at global platform has now reached the African continent. Republic of Rwanda, one of the rapidly growing countries on economic and infrastructure parameters is Partner Country for Automation 2014. The organisers are also getting other African developing countries on board as Bilateral Partner Countries, with strong presence at Automation 2014 with government representatives and business delegations attending the event, an indication of the growing links with India in the engineering, electrical and projects industries.

Republic of Rwanda is the most rapidly growing economy in East Africa. Rwanda is growing at 8% average year-on-year GDP growth, stable inflation and exchange rate. Rwanda has a very sound macroeconomic management and robust fiscal discipline. The country has a clear vision for growth through private investment set out by President Paul Kagame through Vision 2020. Rwanda is an open market of over 11 million people with a rapidly growing middle class.

Explaining the rationale, Mr Arokiaswamy, said, "The Republic of Rwanda is increasingly an attractive destination for foreign investments. There is a great opportunity for Indian industries to develop business. Rwanda is the most competitive place to do business in East Africa and it ranks 3rd among African countries as per the Global Competitive Index Report 2013-2014. In Rwanda, a new Special Economic Zone is developed and operational. More zones are planned at the district level. Rwanda has very high labour efficiency and offers an excellent and flexible supply of labour. Rwanda's workforce is also demonstrating increasing capacity or knowledge-based industry. Rwanda has a very investor-friendly government committed to the market economy, which is very inspiring for Indian industries and especially for the Automation Industry and we must grab potential opportunities for investment abound, particularly in the sectors such infrastructure, energy, information and communication technology, mining, manufacturing, real estate and construction and financial services and agriculture."

Automation 2014 is billed as the only platform to examine new foundations for progress, to improve existing products and processes - a platform where visitors will find sustainable solutions for their business profitability, optimisation of plans, cleaner and greener operations, safer and energy efficient.

A flagship event of IED Communications, Automation has grown to be the biggest show in South East Asia and the second biggest show in Asia after the "IAS Shanghai".
