Quality Power acquires 51% stake in Mehru Electrical

Mehru, established in 1995 and headquartered in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, specialises in high-voltage current and potential transformers, operating an advanced manufacturing facility with NABL-accredited test labs.
Quality Power Electrical Equipments Ltd has acquired a 51% stake in Mehru Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Pvt Ltd for Rs 1.2 billion through a share purchase agreement. This acquisition strengthens Quality Power’s high-voltage instrument transformer capabilities and expands its global market reach.
Mehru, established in 1995 and headquartered in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, specialises in high-voltage current and potential transformers, operating an advanced manufacturing facility with NABL-accredited test labs.
Bharanidharan Pandyan, Joint Managing Director, Quality Power, highlighted Mehru’s expertise and its alignment with Quality Power’s vision to deliver world-class power equipment solutions amid rising global demand for grid stability and renewable integration.
The acquisition enhances product development, expands Quality Power’s product offerings, strengthens R&D capabilities, and broadens geographic reach. It also brings a highly skilled workforce and boosts manufacturing capacity for large-scale power transmission and distribution projects.
This move follows Quality Power’s strategic acquisitions of key players in high, medium, and low-voltage sectors, underscoring its commitment to innovation and leadership in the global power equipment market.
