Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) has postponed the 2024 editions of Pune Machine Tool Expo (PMTX) and Factory Equipment Expo (FACTEQ) to 25-28 May 2024. The co-located events, which were earlier scheduled on 23-26 May 2024, will be held at Pune International Exhibition and Convention Center.

The third edition of Pune Machine Tool Expo 2024, recognised as a premier business-to-business exhibition, is dedicated to empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by enhancing their competitive advantage. With a focus on showcasing the latest advancements in metalworking machinery, accessories, subsystems, and components, PMTX 2024 will feature over 180 exhibitors from around the globe. From metal cutting and metal forming to welding, automation robotics, Industry 4.0, and 3D Printing, visitors can expect to see some groundbreaking innovations revolutionizing the manufacturing landscape.

Simultaneously, IMTMA will be hosting the first edition of Factory Equipment Expo (FACTEQ) – showcasing the entire spectrum of factory equipment essential for designing, building, operating, and maintaining modern factories. This inaugural edition aims to bring together key stakeholders to explore the latest solutions driving efficiency and productivity across factory operations. Quality in manufacturing happens when goods are produced the right way. Aptly, many firms are striving to get it right and have industries bank more on homegrown machine tools and factory equipment through technological improvements. FACTEQ promises to help the factories of tomorrow build, maintain, and upgrade their plants. Exhibitors will showcase air and water systems, material storage and transport, security and safety systems, electrical and lighting systems, sustainable and environmental solutions, factory furniture, building and construction equipment, and many more factory-specific solutions.

“PMTX 2024 and FACTEQ 2024 offer unparalleled networking opportunities for regional industries to access the latest technologies and solutions,” said Rajendra S Rajamane, President, IMTMA. Elaborating further he added, “With our commitment to empower MSMEs and drive technological innovation, we are confident that the expo will pave the way for transformative advancements in the manufacturing landscape.”

Jibak Dasgupta, Director General & CEO, IMTMA, commented, “Industry demands, especially related to technology, are evolving swiftly and expos like PMTX and FACTEQ are great enablers to address the requirements. Pune has the presence of a large number of auto, heavy engineering, aerospace and defence, and other manufacturing industries, and the show will be an important platform to meet manufacturing needs. We expect visitors not just from Pune but also from other industrial towns of Maharashtra and neighbouring States.”

It is believed that upgrading technology will make plants and factories more efficient and a reconfiguration will give rise to the need to procure factory equipment that will potentially aid in curbing imports. The use of superior technology in all future factory spaces will ensure energy efficiency and usher green environment. It will enable Indian industries to design, manufacture, and commission higher-efficiency factories with technology and manufacturing processes founded in India.

With a large proportion of Union Government incentives directed toward new-age manufacturing and positioning India as a new factory of the world, great things are expected, and India may perhaps cross the $1 trillion export target. Pune is home to numerous startups, manufacturing units, and research centres. FACTEQ along with Pune Machine Tool Expo will bode well for the development of factories in and around Pune, the western and northern regions of India.

Industry professionals, entrepreneurs, and decision-makers can use the platform of PMTX 2024 and FACTEQ 2024 to explore the future of manufacturing and avail the opportunities for growth and collaboration.
