Proficiency Improvement Programme at ARAI

Pune-based Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), a research institute of the automotive industry set up by the Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises, Government of India, has announced the first Proficiency Improvement Programme (PIP) of the year 2012. The 2-day PIP on "Automotive Transmission Engineering - Part V (Duty Cycle generation & Condensation)" is scheduled from 13th-14th February 2012 at ARAI, Pune.

The main speaker of this programme is Mr Barry James, from Romax Technology. Highlights of this programme are as follows:

  • Automotive Transmission Duty Cycle
  • Condensing Road Load data
  • Complexities in Component Load & life calculation
  • Optimisation of Engine firing for Transmission Durability, and
  • Duty Cycle Measurement & Testing.
