The indoor air quality (IAQ) today is worse than the outdoor air quality. It can pose serious threat to humans as well as machines. But the consequence is intensified in a factory setup with sensitive machines in the premises. The problem of poor IAQ is further compounded if the setup is situated in close proximity to landfill sites, sewage drains, and excess vehicular exhaust. It can intervene with the proper functioning of the equipment and in severe cases can result in downtime of the machines.

But a majority of people are under the misconception that installing precision air-conditioning can remove the gaseous contaminants from the air. In reality, advanced filtration systems are required for absorbing corrosive gases.
