Piyush Goyal visits Atlas Copco mine in Sweden

Stockholm, November 8, 2016: Atlas Copco – a world-leading provider of sustainable productivity solutions – welcomed Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy and Mines, Government of India to its mine in Sweden, along with an accompanying FICCI delegation.

Piyush Goyal’s visit to Sweden is a follow-up of coordination and Energy Minister Ibrahim Baylan’s trip to India this October. With the objective to share knowledge and experience, Atlas Copco hosted a visit to their test mine outside Stockholm, Sweden. They presented their latest mining technology, focusing on safety, productivity and well as on energy efficiency. The discussion on energy efficiency also covered Atlas Copco’s major achievements in compressors.

A round table discussion with main players from the Swedish mining industry was part of the program. Atlas Copco was represented at the round table discussion by Jess Kindler, division President at Mining and Rock Excavation business area and Conrad Latham, Vice President Marketing at Compressor Technique business area.
