Phoenix Contact unveils single pair ethernet connectors, IP20 & IP67

The German company, Phoenix Contact is a manufacturer of industrial automation, interconnection, and interface solutions. It showcases its Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) connectors which are ideal for efficient data transmission in factory and building automation systems.
Innovative sensor technology with a uniform communication standard is required in the automobile. Modern mid-range vehicles have over 100 sensors – a trend that is on the increase. This cleared the way for Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) to enter new fields of application such as factory and building automation.
IP20 PCB connectors in the re-flow soldering process, patch cables for Single Pair Ethernet and tool-free IP20 plug-in IDC connection technology for field wiring in accordance with IEC 63171-2 are ideal for efficient data transmission in factory and building automation systems. The robust, two-piece housings can be assembled easily without special tools. The IP-protected portfolio in the M8 & M12 design in accordance with IEC 63171-5 also includes pre-assembled patch cables, M8 and M12 PCB connectors in THR soldering process along with the Hybrid design for both M8 & M12 version to accommodate Data and Power in a single connected system.
FINEPITCH board-to-board connectors: With the board-to-board connectors of the FINEPITCH product range, Phoenix Contact provides shielded and unshielded solutions for signal and data transmission. This allows the implementation of individual PCB orientations in all dimensions with different designs, stack heights, and numbers of positions in different pitches from 0.635 mm to 2.54 mm. Mezzanine, coplanar connections, and mother-daughter cards are also possible.
PCB Connectors: As a device manufacturer, develop tailor-made transmission solutions for applications for common fieldbuses and Industrial Ethernet, for example, consisting of hybrid connectors for simultaneous data and power transmission (Power over Ethernet). Versatile CAT5 cabling is also available.
ICS modular: The solutions made possible by the ICS modular housing system are as varied as the requirements for future-oriented automation devices. Benefit from a housing system with graduated sizes, variable connection technology, and optional DIN rail connectors.
Configurator: This allows to design own individual ICS series housing covers. Use the PROTIQ 3D-printing service for prototype production. Once you have decided upon a design, you can move on to the series production of your individual housing cover.
Passive heatsinks and thermal simulations: Miniaturisation leads to an increasingly high packing density in the electronics, which requires efficient cooling. Individual heatsinks provide the necessary heat dissipation. These allow the modules ICS series housings to be used in thermally demanding applications. Use thermal simulations as an aid in designing the PCB layout.
