Nichrome India Ltd, a Pune headquartered leading packaging machinery manufacturer from India successfully shipped out a big turnkey order for sugar packing to one of the largest sugar plant in Sudan. Nichrome was the first company to start offering automatic packing solutions for granular products in India through introduction of linear weigh-metric fillers in late 1980s.

Nichrome has been chosen as a preferred supplier to this one of the largest plant for processing and packing Sugar in Sudan. The contract was awarded by ISGEC, a renowned turnkey project supply company from Delhi. This plant which will be packing about 700 tonnes per day for retail sale and would have ten lines of Nichrome machines complete with feeding systems, packing machine, metal detectors, conveying systems, post packaging systems in one integrated set up.

Recently we bagged an order from Germany to supply HFFS machine followed by this particular order of supplying sugar packaging machine to Sudan. This simply showcase that our intensity to add a 'plus factor' in packaging is receiving a well response on global scale," said, Mr Harish Joshi, Managing Director of Nichrome India Ltd.

Nichrome has pioneered in packaging for 34 years. The company has a world class modern manufacturing set up spread over 8 acres of land at Shirval, about 40 km south of Pune. The infrastructure currently accommodates a manufacturing capacity of 500 machines per year. The set up has more than 150 skilled workforce for planning, engineering, supply chain, machine assembly, extensive product trials and testing, commissioning and service.
