Navitas Solar declares new manufacturing facility at REI Expo 2024

Navitas Solar, a leading name in the solar module manufacturing industry, has made a significant announcement at the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo 2024. The company announced its plans to establish a new, cutting-edge manufacturing facility, setting the stage for major growth in the solar energy sector.
The new factory will be situated on a vast 60-acre campus, featuring an impressive 400,000 square feet of construction space and an additional 600,000 square feet in construction. This facility is designed to be a hub of innovation and efficiency, equipped with the latest technologies to enhance production processes. Initially, the new factory will have a manufacturing capacity of 1.5 GW per annum. However, Navitas Solar has ambitious plans to expand this capacity to 10 GW per annum by 2025. This expansion is a testament to the company’s strategic vision and its dedication to scaling up operations to support the global transition to renewable energy.

Vineet Mittal, Director-Finance & Strategy, Navitas Solar and Co-Founder & Director, Navitas Green Solutions, said, "Our new facility marks a pivotal moment in Navitas Solar's journey. The establishment of this new factory is expected to have a significant positive impact on both the economy and the environment. The increased production capacity will not only create numerous job opportunities but also contribute to the local economy. We're committed to driving innovation and supporting the renewable energy transition, both in India and worldwide."

In the next phase of development, Navitas Solar plans to add an additional 600,000 square feet to the facility. This expansion will further boost the company’s production capabilities, ensuring it remain at the forefront of the solar module manufacturing industry.
With its modern manufacturing technologies that optimise production processes, the new facility will be a center of technological innovation and efficiency. A wide selection of superior solar goods is available from Navitas Solar, including as N-type TOPCon Bifacial Modules, Mono PERC Modules, and Polycrystalline Modules. These products are designed to meet the energy needs of both large-scale and domestic customers with exceptional durability, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.

The plant is designed with eco-friendly technologies to minimise environmental impact, aligning with Navitas Solar’s mission to promote renewable energy and reduce carbon footprints.

The establishment of this new factory is expected to have a significant positive impact on both the economy and the environment. The increased production capacity will not only create numerous job opportunities but also contribute to the local economy. Moreover, by producing more solar modules, Navitas Solar will help reduce reliance on fossil fuels, thereby decreasing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting a cleaner, greener planet.

Navitas Solar is committed to engaging with the local community and supporting various social initiatives. The company plans to collaborate with educational institutions to provide training and development programs, fostering a skilled workforce for the future. Additionally, Navitas Solar will support local environmental projects, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and community well-being.
