Chief of Naval Staff Admiral R Hari Kumar officiated the inaugural ceremony for the first domestically produced Drishti 10 'Starliner' Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) tailored for the Navy.

This cutting-edge UAV signifies a significant stride towards achieving strategic autonomy and technological supremacy in advanced aerial systems, renowned for their extended endurance, combat-proven capabilities, and indigenous development.

The flag-off event occurred at the Adani Aerospace Park in Hyderabad, where Adani Defence and Aerospace is actively fostering capabilities to bolster self-sufficiency in defence and security. Simultaneously, they aspire to attain a prominent global role in the industry.

Adani Defence and Aerospace have already demonstrated proficiency in diverse domains, encompassing small arms, unmanned aerial vehicles, radars, defence electronics and avionics, tactical communication systems, and electro-optical systems, catering to the needs of the Army and paramilitary forces.

The organisation has successfully established India's foremost unmanned aerial vehicle manufacturing facility and the country's inaugural private sector small arms manufacturing unit. Furthermore, they are currently in the process of establishing India's primary comprehensive aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility, adhering to international standards for safety and airworthiness.

In response to the escalating threat posed by rogue drones, Adani Defence is actively engaged in developing counter-drone systems suitable for both defence and civilian applications.

By cultivating a comprehensive ecosystem with Tier 1 and Tier 2 capabilities across the defence supply chain, Adani Defence is well-equipped to seamlessly integrate larger platforms into their operations.
