Pune: October 31, 2014 - The Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote growth and understanding with delegates from Korea Industrial Complex Corp (KICOX) on October 29, 2014. The Gunsan city branch office of KICOX led the delegation which included officials from Korea Industrial Complex, Jeonbuk Institute of Automotive Technology and officials representing companies from various industry segments from Gunsan city.

"This is an opportunity for exchange of information, promotion and development of industrial units from both Pune and Gunsan region. This will help all the small and medium enterprises as both will exchange information for mutual growth. This MOU is a result of a two-year dialogue with us," said Anant Sardeshmukh, Director General, MCCIA. According to Sardeshmukh, this dialogue has led to four proposals, which have reached advanced stages and could soon lead to an agreement.

"Companies from both regions have been in discussions which will be finalised soon to exchange technical collaborations in IT and automotive components as both are hubs in these sectors," he said. Some of the highlights of the MOU include exchanging of information regarding strategies for promotion of industrial cluster, industrial technology, and management expertise. Both MCCIA and KICOX will be actively supporting contact between enterprises and research institutions by hosting delegations and participation in mission and conferences. They will also support training and education.
