Karnataka signs MoU with Krones for manufacturing facility

The Karnataka government has formalised an agreement with German bottling and packaging equipment manufacturer Krones to establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Vemagal Industrial Park Phase 2. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed under the guidance of Minister for Large and Medium Industries M B Patil, marks a significant step in the lead-up to Invest Karnataka 2025, the state’s flagship Global Investors Meet scheduled for February.

During a visit to Krones’ headquarters in Neutraubling, Germany, the company’s leadership, including its CEO, showcased their advanced manufacturing capabilities and provided an overview of their global operations. The MoU commits the Karnataka government to ensuring a smooth and expedited setup of Krones’ facility by offering comprehensive support.

Additionally, the state initiated discussions with Krones’ suppliers to encourage ancillary investments, aiming to strengthen Karnataka’s industrial ecosystem. Krones highlighted Karnataka’s strategic advantages, including robust infrastructure and a pro-business environment, as key factors aligning with the company’s long-term growth strategy.
