India’s Index of Industrial Production (IIP) grew by 3.1% in September, according to data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI). These figures, part of the Quick Estimates of IIP, are published monthly with a six-week lag. The data is compiled from various source agencies, which gather input from factories and establishments nationwide. The IIP figures may be revised in future updates in line with the ministry’s revision policy.
