Indian Army Signs MoU with JCBL Group for NGV Repair Hub and Warehouse in Leh

The Fire & Fury Corps of the Indian Army, on 16 October 2025, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airbornics Defence & Space Pvt Ltd (ADSL), a part of the JCBL Group, to establish a New Generation Vehicle (NGV) Repair Hub and Warehouse within the 14 Corps Zonal Workshop in Leh. 

The initiative is designed to enhance the Army’s logistical readiness by setting up a dedicated OEM warehouse and repair facility for New Generation Vehicles within the workshop premises of the Indian Army. 

The MoU was signed at a ceremony held at the Headquarters of 14 Corps in Leh. Lt Gen Hitesh Bhalla, Corps Commander of 14 Corps, presided over the event on behalf of the Indian Army, while Brig Nipoon Sood, Brigadier EME, 14 Corps, formally signed the MoU on behalf of the Army. Senior officers from the formation, including the General Officers Commanding (GoCs) of the Divisions based in Ladakh, were also present at the event. 

On behalf of the JCBL Group, Raj Kumar Pandey, Director & CEO and Col Rajwinder Singh (Retd), COO attended the ceremony. Representatives from other leading industrial groups, including TASL, BFL, Polaris, JSW, and MDSL, also graced the occasion. 

Through this collaboration, the JCBL Group (ADSL) will contribute its expertise in defence manufacturing, technical support, training, retro-modification, and R&D through the framework of the NGV Hub in Leh. The JCBL Group will also maintain a ready stock of fast-moving spares for vehicles and equipment supplied to the Indian Army. Furthermore, the Group will supply parts and components for critical warlike stores, which it provides to the Ordnance and EME (Electrical and Mechanical Engineering) Channels of the Indian Army, through its group companies in India and abroad. 

Lt Gen Hitesh Bhalla, Corps Commander, 14 Corps highlighted that this partnership between Indian Army and Industry would significantly enhance the operational readiness of 14 Corps. He further stressed the need to ensure that Army units fully exploit the presence of Industry Warehouses at these forward locations of Ladakh. In future the Indian Army plans to expand this presence of industry warehouses to three more forward locations of 14 Corps Area of Responsibility.
