Hyundai to invest Rs 7,000 cr in Talegaon, marks first venture outside Tamil Nadu

Following Mitsubishi's establishment of a manufacturing plant in Talegaon, Maharashtra, with an investment exceeding Rs 200 crore, Hyundai Motor India is poised to inject Rs 7,000 crore into the region. Devendra Fadnavis, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, shared on X, "It was a pleasure meeting Kim Unsoo, MD and CEO of Hyundai Motor India (HMI), along with Executive Director J W Ryu and HMI senior officials. They briefed me on HMI's Rs 7,000 crore investment in Talegaon, Pune."

Fadnavis mentioned that company representatives sought guidance and support on various aspects, to which he assured them of the government's full support for smooth implementation. He added, "This marks Hyundai's first investment outside Tamil Nadu, where they have successfully conducted business for over 25 years."

Fadnavis revealed, "They are set to sign an MOU with the Government of Maharashtra during their visit to Davos next week. We warmly welcome Hyundai in establishing a state-of-the-art automobile manufacturing facility in Maharashtra."
